You can get a pedal box spacer from Wilkinson or Larry Stock. Wilkinson has the thicker version up to 2" I believe. If you want a drawing to make one yourself I have that detailed that I did for someone previously, and I thought it was posted on here, but I couldn't find it with a search. Drop me a PM with your e-mail address and I'll send it to you.
Cybo, call Steve Wilkinson, he's very helpful.

Richard T. Let's define forward and back ok.

Let's say that moving the pedals forward is moving them cloeser to the front of the car and therefore giving MORE legroom.

Let's say that moving the pedals back, is to the back of the car, closer to the driver and gives less leg room.

Under these definitions are you still asking to move the pedals back?

If that is what you want then the simplest way to do that is to add blocks to the top of the pedals. Racers do that a lot.
I am totally confused Richard.

If you are closer to the winshield and thus closer to the pedals, how would putting blocks on the pedals and making them even closer to you help?

Pardon me for asking but do you like to brake, clutch and accellerate with your knees?

I'm not trying to be a smartass here, I am just totally confused at what you want. Confused
Richard,

Sounds a bit like a case of the 'tail wagging the dog'. By being closer to the windshield and as the seats are for and aft adjustable, I assume what has happened is that the Corvette seats are a higher bolster so you sit up higher and hence closer to the screen? You also look reasonably tall in your Avatar photo.

In that case consider;

a) removing seat tracks and bolting the driver seat to the floor (this is how I solved the problem). Not adjusatble but how often do you need to adjust the seat anyway.
b) Install lower floor pans (this is my longer term solution with a) above so that I can wear a helment for track too!)
c) find some different seats

All above solutions would be easier than re-engineering the pedal box to move pedals rearward.
The problem I have is if I move the seat back I cant push the pedals to the floor but I have still have reach left in my arms. If I put the seat back so my arms are extended I cant reach the pedals. Joules I think you are right about the seats being higher as I didn't have this problem with the stock seats. I will try bolting the seat directly to the floor as I am sitting higher than before. This should fix both problems. And by the way I'm not to tall 5'-7" in high heels LOL.
Richard
One of the critical dimensions for me is leg room. By that I am talking about room under the steering wheel for my thighs.

I don't think that my legs, thighs, would clear the wheel enough to move the steering wheel with the scenario you are describing.

It's amazing to me that there are so many issues like this in the Pantera. Just amazing.

You know Richard, I will bet you that my car with the lowered floor pans and the pedal box extension, you would be able to get the seat right because with the Taurus power set tracks I put in you can raise/lower, tilt forward/rear, as well as front and back, and the power lumbar support (no it doesn't vibrate too, stop that!).

Now you can tilt the wheel down too.

I checked yesterday and I have two inches of head room. Plenty for the racing helmet now.

Oops.Did I get off the subject again? I forgot? What was the subject? Big Grin
