guys I have a ready to run msd distributor and just got a
8910 msd tasch adapter , the plan is to wire it in and get my
Tach working my distributor has a grey wire that's supposed to
Run the tach but does not , the question is do I connect the white wire
On the tach adapter , To the grey wire or to the orange wire that connected to negative side
Of the coil , any help would be appreciated as I don't want to blow

I am not sure but I think you need the 8920 tach adapter. The 8910 is classified as a non-current limited adapter, you need a current triggered adapter for a Pantera. This is what I have, not very accurate in my situation.
Current Triggered: If the trigger wire of the tach was originally connected to the coil positive terminal, it is a Current Triggered Tachometer.

An even better solution is to dump the MSD controller altogether and go with Jon Haas's engine unit. Tach adapter built in, soft rev limiter, electric full pump cut off if engine stops, anti-theft, cuts out ac compressor during high revs, higher output, retards ignition for easier start, etc etc.
