Muffler support bracket for 180 headers | The De Tomaso Forums

I've been looking for the spring/hangers that are used on the GT40's to support the ends of the mufflers unsuccessfully. Anyone know where I can get them?

I want to support mine before there is some sort of a stress failure and I loose a muffler or crack a header pipe.

Hi, I fabricated the brackets for my headers using sheetmetal, rivets, door closing spring and a little metal forming. Nothing fancy, but they have been on my track only Pantera for over three years without any problems. I tried to attach photos but too large for this site. please send email address and I will send three photos of my brackets. Thanks, David
