Finally (weeks after DEEB did) brought my cat out of hibernation and brought her home. The winter projects were minor this time. New water pump, all new liquids, braided lines and Porterfield pads all around, new Euro lenses and 2" more headroom thanks to re-gluing the headliner with new foam.

The big news (for me anyway) is her new stable-mate. I never thought I would ever own a car as nice as a Pantera and I was certain that I would never own a car that would make a Pantera seem like a civilized GT. But this is that car. There’s just something about big V8 thump right behind your back-side that’s just intoxicating.

If the weather holds for this Sunday, anyone who can get to Ottawa is welcome to join in on making my new next-door neighbours wish they’d bought a house elsewhere. Big Grin

I'll bet it has a hot running stroked 302 in it, huh? He, he, he ...

Says the wise one who helped advise me that the engine was nicely built (what do I know?).

Its a stroked HiPo 289 (now 331) with all sorts of go-fast work done on it. The dyno says 410 HP and 393 lbs/ft of torque, and the seat-of-the-pants agrees! The noise out the back (no mufflers, just some scavengers) is earth-shattering!

I'd love to see you Richard, but if you want wheel time, you've got to bring something more enticing than an Escape! Big Grin

Emery, bring the bacon and I'll fry it up!

Weather is not looking great for Sunday, so we may postpone, but there are a growing bunch of us who are eager to disturb the peace en-mass.
