hi guys, i bought 6 feet of the 1 3/8 inch NAPA hose, and 2 of those 8919 hoses , which turned out to be too small for the water pump and too big for the metal lines. i have all new hoses, metal lines and clamps on my push button, but i need to find the 2 hoses for the drivers side at the engine, and the single 90 degree hose that goes from the metal line to the tank.(right side) this is the only thing keeping my car off the road, so any help or part numbers would be great.

i did call a vendor, but he told be to go to a local auto parts store.

i live in rural Georgia and they will not let you just walk around and measure their assorted hoses in inventory, so any help would b great, even if i have to order the 3 hoses!

...The metal tubes come from the factory at 1 3/8". The 90 degree hose you CAN find at most auto parts stores. I bought mine at 'Kragens' it was a little long; so You trim it to length. $7.00. I can't see anybody exchanging the 1 3/8" tubes for something smaller?? Did You Measure acurately?? If you can't find 1 3/8" hose, Buy 1 1/2" You only have to 'Clamp' it down 1/8th Inch to get it to seal. Perhaps your hose IS 1 1/2" and therefore looks too large for the pipes. Just clamp them down tight, use 2 clamps at each hose end. When you get to where your replacing the 2 heater hoses under the dash; you will find that you need hoses that must go from the (Console Tubes) at 3/4" down to the Heater core tubes which are 5/8". You'll probably never find such an animal, I looked! So You use a 3/4" hose and clamp it down the 1/8th Inch to fit tight to the smaller tube. The water pump INLET is 2.0" That hose comes off a METAL gooseneck Tube(in Later Cars) from the lower tube (drivers side) at 1 3/8" and has a 2.0" coupling welded on the top end to match with the 2.0" hose to the W. Pump. That hose is aprox. 5.0" to 6.0" in length. Earlier cars had a 'Double 90 Degree' Hose instead of the metal goosneck, the bottom end was 1 3/8" with the Top rubber being 2.0" to meet with the Water Pump. The 1 1/2" and 2.0" 'Standard Size' hoses are NOT dificult to locate! The 1 3/8" will take some Hunting, but I have found ALL I needed at 'Kragens' and 'Napa auto parts'; They DID let me go in the 'Back' and search and Measure everything! Good-Luck with it!...

gee, thanks i guess. what part of they wont let anyone go in the back and look around do you not under stand?

i live in RURAL Georgia and we dont have a endless supply of stores. try driving over an hour to the city to go to one store and be told you cant look at the hoses they have.

i have the 1 3/8 inch hose, and replaced ALL of the other hoses on the car, but i need to find the last 3 hoses that hook up the aft ends of the metal tubes under the car to the engine on the left side ( 2 hoses) and the 90 degree to the tank on the right side.

sorry if my post was was confusing, but if you have nothing nice to say, perhaps you should say nothing.

thank you so much for the help ( AGAIN!)

i hope they have the 90 degree hoses! 1 3/8 must be a weird size in todays terms!
they have straight hose sold in 3 foot lengths, 45 degree elbows, 90 degree elbows, straight reducers, 90 degree reducers.

1 3/8 = 35 mm

1 3/4 (water pump inlet) = 44 mm

In choosing the reducer for the water pump I would select 1 5/8 (41 mm) x 1 3/8 (35 mm) since its not available in 1 3/4 x 1 3/8. The 41 mm will be a bit small for the water pump, to make it fit you warm the hose up in boling water, it becomes pliable and you can stretch it over the water pump inlet nipple.

another good site on the internet is:

Racer Parts Wholesale: http://www.racerpartswholesale.com/about.htm

the big name manufacturer of silicon hose is SFS Performance: http://www.sfsperformance.co.uk

Silicon hose is pricey stuff, but its the real deal race parts, and it lasts forever.
