Need info on aussie heads

The cast iron heads are from an Aussie 302 Cleveland, not sold here. They are closed- chamber which means that the compression will go up at least full point from what the open chamber heads generate. Please do some measuring before trying to assemble the engine with any new heads. They are 2-V size which means that any 2-V intake will fit. A 4-V intake will overlap the intake ports a bit, adding some bottom-end power and torpedo-ing the upper end power (above about 5200rm). Your Pantera headers will be bigger than the exhaust ports but that won't hurt- most of the stock 4-V exhaust port is wasted space anyway. Availability is spotty- try the usual Pantera vendors, who will probably already have done the necessary crack checks, surfacing and a valve job. All the 2-V stuff will fit, and all the 4-V stuff EXCEPT the valves will fit. Can't predict what power increase you'll get- should be much better around town though.
