Need photo of front chassis tiedown hole

If anyone is curious why I am doing this, just look at the front of the lower A-arm. Its been split down the seam because previous tow truck drivers used the A-arm to winch the car onto their truck.

Yup, that's the hole. Though I belive its canted at ~45 degree angle vice vertical like the diagram.

well, good news and bad news.
I was able to get to the barn with out sliding down, BUT I didn't take pen and paper to write down the dimensions

I have some higher resolution pics if you want to count pixels, PM and I'll email if this one is not good enough

I cut and composed two pics
it looks like ~0.75 X 1.5"

If you are worried about a "Tow Hook", then I would suggest, leaving the patched up hole & welding a specific "Tow Eye/Hook".

The exsisting "Hole" is virtually useless as a "point of securement".

On my 1991 Ferrari Testarossa there is a dedicated "Tow Hook".

You could drill a hole, weld the appropriate nut, and just buy a tow hook...Mark

if you plan to drill out plate to the original tie down profile,
I would suggest you find top dead center of your exposed chord.
come straight down ~3/8" and punch referance. from that referance measure 3/4" at 45 degress to make next punch.
use uni bit to dril lower mark to 3/4"
then drill upper mark as much as possible
use grinder to finish up
