I picked up my newly refurbished Corvette seats and door panels this afternoon, and hope to have them in this week. Can't wait to try them out. I carried the red/black theme inside the car with black leather and red diamond quilting. I'm really pleased. Next is the console, and probably the dash and the padded firewall.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I sure hope they fit. I'm not using a power seat rail as I'm the only one who will drive it, and I need it back as far as possible. Door panels will have a small central area of the red diamond stitching like the seats, and the armrest/door pullers are red-double stitched to match. Hope to have everything installed for Sunday's French/Italian Car show at Woodley Park in Van Nuys, but I doubt everything will be installed in time. I'll forward more pics when everything is in.
Hoping to get my cat back this weekend in time to shoot some pictures with my daughter and new son-in-law at their wedding at our house. It might happen either this weekend or sometime next week. Saw my new leather wrapped dash and firewall today just before they start putting them in. I carried the same diamond stitched theme unto the firewall and did red topstitching on the black leather dash as well. Here are some lousy photos I took with my cellphone. Next week I'll send some of the whole interior and exterior.

Thanks everyone, no one wants to see it back together more than me. It's been over three years since I've driven it, so I can barely contain myself. As for the armrests, they are the standard armrests covered in leather and done in the red topstitch. Once they get ready to put the door panels (which also have a center panel with the diamond quited pattern), they will make the hole as well as install the door buttons and grommets. When I looked at the dash this afternoon, one thing I want them to do before installing is to add staples to the leather where it wraps around the edging of the dash. Having had a leather dash in my XKR where thousands of them "shrunk" and developed bubbles because of Jaguar's failure to staple, mistakenly believing that adhesive alone would hold the leather in place even in very hot climates, I wanted to make sure this did not happen in the Pantera. Next week, I should have the old girl back and besides double the horsepower, I can't wait to test out the new fuel injection. Waiting with baited breath....
I am in the interior design/decorating industry, so I had my longtime furniture upholsterer do the C4 seats. The rest was done by the auto upholsterer of the shop doing the engine, fuel injection, body work, and I've not met him. Any reasonably competent upholsterer should be able to do the work as there is nothing extraordinarily difficult to do, with maybe the exception of the dash. One thing that I am having corrected on the dash as a result of my experience with a leather dash on my XKR is that there isn't an adhesive on earth that will keep the leather buttoned down through excessive heat and cooling cycles. The leather must be anchored down with staples on the underside edge. Otherwise the leather wants to shrink up and creates air bubbles where the leather has disattached. Before the dash goes in next week, I have instructed them to put small staples through the leather into the fiberglass dash form to insure this doesn't happen.

Hopefully, by next weekend the interior will be fully installed, and I'll get photos of the finished product. I am anxious to sit in the C4 seats and see how I fit. I'm even more anxious to drive the damn thing.

Stay tuned!
Well, we're down to the final few days before I get my CAT back after nearly four years. Day before yesterday, I actually sat in the new seats for a "fitting," and we had to move the rails a bit to give me a little extra room. The seats look great, the door panels are very nice, but the most exciting part was hearing the new engine/exhaust sounds as I heard it running for the first time. It is extremely loud, and just intoxicatingly guttural! Sorry about the lousy cellphone pics, but should have some nice ones this weekend. Just aching to drive her.

Well, almost there. Seats installed, interior almost back together. Tomorrow console gauges to be installed in new leather faced panel, hatch re-installed tomorrow, paint to be buffed out, side mirrors to be installed. Waiting for transmission bushing so that it stays in gear, a couple of bushings for headlight mechanism, and A/C replacement. But, at least it appears I'll be able to daytime drive it next week for the first time in nearly four years. I have heard the engine roar to life, and the exhaust is very, very loud, idles beautifully, and the Holly fuel injection should save me a lot of grief in the future. The pictures show the car in good company with a Lambo on the lift behind it, and a LaFerrari in the corner behind it. Dash looks beautiful. More pictures and build info when I get the car next week. I can barely stand the waiting any longer.
