Hello all,

a forum user recommended this site to me. I mostly deal with alfa romeo, however there is one part in common with Pantera - the tail light lenses for the Berlina 2000 and Junior 1600 Zagato are the same.

I regularly import from Italy new lenses that I've been selling to alfa owners, and also to some Pantera owners.

I have in stock Euro type with amber signal lenses and US all-red lenses. "P/V Milano" brand for reasonable prices and can also get OEM Carello if someone is going concours.

on eBay as 116_Veloce

Interested parties please email me as I will not visit this forum often.

All the original Carello/Altissimo lenses, stock all red, Euro red/amber and GRP 4 were made with colored plastic sections bonded together into a unit.

The PV GRP 4 lenses were totally cast in clear plastic. A spray on color tint was used to obtain the red/amber coloring. Other than that, the lenses do appear to be faithful copies of the original Carello in size and design, although the clear back-up section has a different lens style than the original Carello GRP 4. However, because of the tint issue, I have elected to not buy/offer the PV GRP 4 lenses.

I would assume this red/amber style of PV lenses offered by 116_Veloce also is made using a sprayed on color.

If you think it may be an issue for you then I suggest you first determine if in fact these lenses have a sprayed on coloring.

As hard as the original Carello red/amber lenses are to find, this offer is a fairly priced alternative for those that want this upgrade to their stock tail lights. For our cars, most all of which are stored indoors and not daily drivers subject to the abuse belted out by Mother Nature, I imagine they will last quite well.

I do not gather/sell this style of lens so this post is not a matter of trying to protect my 'turf' of the GRP 4 tail lights. I just feel this probable difference in construction is something buyers should be aware of.
