Fresh from the Barret Jackson auction podium to a dealership near you, we have...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-Trucks___1973-FORD-...C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318

I hope someone loves this as much as the long term previous owner did. Please be sensitive to comments about 'taste' since said owner passed away, and considered a solid supporter of the Pantera community.

An unbelievable amount of work, time, thought, and 'pur money' went into this project. You can't help but say 'wow' when you see it.

Anyway, should you want to own the car and revert it to 'Not Pur Gold' anymore, you could spend some quality time with a butane torch and dental tools, and get much of your investment back from CashForGold.com. Cause if you're selling, they're buying! Just a thought.

The car is still for sale by the same people who bought it at BJ and then had put it on Ebay. They are having an auction at their shop and have decided to include it. It did not get what they wanted on Ebay.
As a note to this. I went and looked at the car in person at is needing some attention. The paint is very nice but the gold plating is rubbing completely off on the window trims and windshield frame as well as showing wear elsewhere on the car.
HI, ALL. Hopefully the person who bought this car found the car of their dreams and will love it, take care of it, and drive it as it was meant to be driven / enjoyed AND not someone
just looking to try to make a quick buck, like the seller. Yes i know buy low/ sell high
etc. BUT it just kind of sucks to see a car that was so loved / enjoyed by the previous owner wind up being just another commodity
for some *****....
Just my 2 cents.

Sold $55K.

Well it sold at BJ in January for exactly the same amount, so no profit for the 'speculator' on this one.

It actually made it up to $59,800 'reserve not met' when it was on Ebay, of course no saying it would have reached that if reserve were lower.

Hope the new owner enjoys it. That price is good for the quality of the car. It has a few little issues that need fixing but a great car.

That's what I thought too however there no air lines or compressor visable anywhere. Granted I didn't look too hard because I wasn't really interested in how they did it-only that they did it!! In my opinion only three types of cars should be bagged.....Impalas, Cadillacs, and vintage hot rods. And then they should be done right. Camber angles like that just look like amateur hour.....

A vast majority of the cars went for very good prices considering their condition. However almost all had serious flaws. Some were downright hacked.

I had fun-especially since the Good Guys show was in town and it also was the first weekend for the Escondido Friday Night Cruises. San Diego Panteras was in full force with about eight or nine cars not to mention 100's of other car nuts. My 16 year old daughter learned the differences between the Tri 5 Chevy's and has a great start on the first four generations of Mustangs. What more could you want out of a weekend??

I guess I could have bought the '64 Impala with the 400/4 spd for $12.5........
