Here's some photos of mine... It was my second Pantera, purchased from Franz Krump who also posts on this bulletin board. #9375 was the first GT5-S built, and spent the first year of its life as a professional model, showing the world what a GT5-S was. It was introduced at the Turin auto show, and I've got photos of the car at the DeTomaso stand that year.

Our relationship got off to a somewhat stormy start, as I broke a valve spring while driving it home from Austria to Spain. It's a *very* long story which has been documented on the DeTomaso e-mail Forum, but I had the engine rebuilt twice in a one-year period, after what began as simply changing valve springs turned into a complete overhaul and rebuild. Then another.

Highlights include fully ported and flowed Aussie closed-chamber heads, a CompCams 282S solid-lifter cam, MSD 6AL and distributor, new Holley 700, blueprinted and flowed, among other things. Desktop Dyno estimates 479hp.

Since buying it, we've traveled all over in it as it is no trailer queen. Every year we attend the 24 hours of Le Mans, in France, and we haven't missed an International DeTomaso meeting in Europe since I've been here. It's been all over Italy, Spain, France, and Portugal for holidays. If it isn't raining, it gets driven.
