I was working on getting my door window to go up all the way (stalls out halfway up) and found this in the bottom of the door. What is it for?? The hole is threaded. Thanks!

I am pretty sure that is one of the plastic inserts that accept the bolts that attach the armrest. They are rather specific OEM pieces but many folks just cut a strip of bar metal, run a drill/tap through it and pop rivet it to replace the plastic anchor

I have to digg out but did buy Alfa Romeo parts..and yes they are the fixtures in the door openings to fix the arm rest...
I did buy them ..need to find the invoice..small $

Appreciate the info. This must be a bonus part as the armrest plastic inserts are all there.
The anchor in your photo looks like it is damaged and missing a portion. That anchor needs to be firm and solid unless you want to have your armrest come off in your hand someday. 😉

Larry - right! I think someone left the broken clip in the door and replaced it as all of the armrest clips look good and were retaining the armrest properly??
However, it is a bit strange as this clip body/hole/thread is smaller than the armrest screws!
Oh well - now back to getting my window to go up properly. It has improved with some tweaking, but not good enough yet.
