The inner fenders are integrated with the “horseshoes” that are welded to the frame box.

The horseshoes are on the outside (tire side) of the inner fender panels.

In my 5357 thread (Search 5357) - the first page, Wade rebuilt the inner structure on my passenger side of the car……  Unfortunately, most of the pictures are gone because of Photobucket hosting issues.  Sorry about that, but you should be able to fine pictures of the rear quarter panels pretty easily…  someone was selling one recently!

Here’s a link to the inner fender for sale.

Rocky,thanks for the quick reply!

However I don't think I expressed myself well. My car had some plates that made the wheel interior cover. I send you a photo and the truth is that the tie to the bodywork seems to me a sloppy and I wonder how it should be. It may also be that it is a later modification ... right?

Thanks both, however Rene, can you reload the pictures?? At least I cannot see them? I see you are located in Correze...right? I passed last Saturday in front of "your house" in that case....I was returning from Switzerland back to Pamplona...NExt time I will let you know...

Rocky, indeed I have the feeling that the fixations are very weak...lets see what I figure out...

Best regards!

If you took the A89, you passed a few hundred meters from my house. Next time let me know.

You can run without splash shields but they were added as a detail to reduce wearing or damage to the inner fenders back when the cars were actually expected to be daily drivers.

They do not need to be massive and if you don't have factory mounting tabs as part of the original fender lips, you can carefully add tabs to the fenders. That detail would depend of your specific existing fender details.

It likely will require clever fabrication on your part?
