First and foremost my wife and I have to thank so many people from Jersey Pantera and others responsible for the event. Anyone that hasn't been to a concours event start planning it is awesome. We started our trip hoping it wouldn't rain, but within a half hour down it came.Damn that rain x works well! We arrived at Pocono Manor about 10:30pm and were guided by the doorman at the hotel to the gaurded indoor tennis courts converted into a garage about a half mile down the road. While waiting for him to open, out of nowhere I noticed a guy standing next to my car. You must be Robert, I'm Mark De Casien welcome. All surprised that this guy that I spoke to briefly over the phone for some info saw us, jumped into his truck and came down to greet us! WE were stunned! What a great guy to come and make total strangers feel welcome. We chatted awhile and then went to check in. Standing at the front desk we heard a voice directed our way. I looked over my shoulder and there was a man with a Ferrari jacket and cap looking at us and introduced himself as Joe Moore and welcomed us. Boy!!! they're coming out from everywhere to greet us.Needless to say they ALL made us feel right at home. By the way, don't think bad about Joe he only wears Ferrari cloths to make his (Ferrari) friends feel good, he's one of us with a 71 pantera and a Guara, ya he's one of us.Got up next morning and went to register and look at the cars as they arrived I was drooling. Later we had a great tech session with Kirk Evans of AmeriSport I wish I knew 1% of what he knows, very knowledgeable. You learn a lot. The Wine and cheese was great and you start matching the faces with the names on this board. Sunday was the day. All the cars were arriving and shown where to park on the golf course. As they gathered your jaw gets closer and closer to the ground. Felt like a kid in a candy store. There was so much to see so much to do and say that at the end you feel like an idiot because you didn't think to take that picture and didn't think to ask that question because you are in such a trance. If only I could go back. Next year for sure. What can I say about the awards dinner. For the price it was unreal. Jim and Cristina Ireland (owners of Pocono Manor) treated the guest first class all the way. It does help when you realize they are car lovers too! On monday it was the first time I was at a tri-oval track. It was impressive to watch and hear those engines sing their songs so well,it was a true symphony. Take the time to go to one of these events, you'll do what I am doing and start planning the next one for sure. AS for pictures we took some with a camera we bought to take with us to the event, now give us a chance to see how(don't have the first clue how or where to start) to post them. We'll learn. Meanwhile you can go to
