Does anyone on this board know anything about Dove roller rockers? How about Scorpion? Which are the better roller rockers?

I just purchased a set of new Edelbrock heads from DSC Motorports that have had larger valves installed and the bowls/ports cleaned and smoothed. Anyway, they came with a set of Dove roller rockers (NIB), but I had already purchased a set of Scorpion roller rockers for my 383C stroker engine. I've read on the Ford Muscle forum that Dove manufactures/supplies Comp Cams their aluminum roller rockers (don't know if it's true or not). They look just like the Comp Cams rockers, so maybe there is some truth to it:

I'm building a 383 stroker 351C with a forged lightweight crank, roller lifters, Weiand Xcelerator intake, Reed cam, etc. Goals are driveability and better performance than stock, with a flat torque curve of approx 390-400 ft.lbs. of torque from 3000-5000 rpm.

So, which ones should I keep/use? Both sets of roller rockers are new in the box. The extra set will go on ebay.

Thanks!
Garth

I got my set from DSC Motorsports, sounds like you have exactly what I purchased. I had originally ordered a set of Aussie 2v heads but DSC was having problems filling the order. He offered me my money back or a deal on the modified Edelbrocks which I purchased. Edelbrocks were brand new at the time and cost more than they do now. DSC sold me the large valve, bowl ported ready to bolt on heads for $1800 including shipping to Hawaii to make up for my lost time which was a deal at the time. Dennis Carrico is a great customer service businessman. A friend of mine is contemplating using the same heads, I was just wondering what they would cost him today.

That sounds like a great price Dennis! I actually didn't buy my heads directly from DSC. I was searching Craigslist and found someone in Oregon who had purchased them, then needed money to finish another project first. So I bought the new-in-box heads from him, along with a set of Dove roller rockers, studs, guideplates, and Motorsport valve covers for $1600. It was a good deal. And that's why I'm seeking input/opinions on which rocker arms are the ones I should keep since I already have a set of Scorpions. I'm planning to put the extra set of rocker arms and the Motorsport valve covers on ebay, unless someone here is interested.

I also have one more new-in-the-box Edelbrock head that I bought on ebay late last year. I was planning to purchase another head at the best price I could find (even if I purchased one for full retail from Summit, I would save about $500 versus ordering a pair from them). Anyway, that head is going back onto ebay now since I found these heads from DSC.

So, anyone want a deal on an Edelbrock head for your engine? How about a brand new set of roller rockers, or Motorsport valve covers? PM me soon, or they're all going on ebay. Maybe I'll post in the 'for sale' section too.
