seat cover removal

I hate to sound stupid, but what is the best way to take off the original seat covers (tube type)?

You need to cut the stitching along the base of the seat back. Once you can see under the upholstery you will be able to see the twine that holds down the center areas. The twine can be cut or untied.

Our new upholstery has zippers so they don't need to be sewn closed like the originals.
