I have some original koni shock absorbers i was thinking of rebuilding but are those new aftermarket shocks with the different settings much better?

I am very happy that I upgraded to Aldan's. They were worth my money. They allowed me to lower the car when I upgraded to new wheels\tires.

The shock absorber question is a big one...I have the Aldans and they are new from the previous owner...fronts installed, rears still in the box waiting to be installed. I've done a little research and have been told the Aldans are not good because they are basically hot rod shocks with small diameter pistons inside that eventually leak and blow out...WARNING...this was told to me by Wilkinsen who obviously has his own shocks to sell which were designed and valved specifically for a Pantera by Carrera (as I recall)? However, there are quite a few guys that I've talked to that run track events and ORR events with Aldans on their cars and they say they are great shocks??? Wouldn't it be nice to have a shoot out with only Pantera's and different shocks on a road couse and see which one actually made the car handle the best!
Some of the experts I've talked swear by the Konis. I have been told more than once to throw out my zoomy Hall 12 way adjustables and put back the original Konis. Go figure...
I have the Aldans on my car, they were on the car when I bought it. They were leaking so I sent them to Bobby at Precision ProFormance and they sent them in to be rebuilt about a year ago and they are leaking again. I like the ride and all, but have heard about problems like this with other cars.
