I am in the process of rebuilding my shocks I see that front and rear have different part numbers how do you tell the diferance.I did not mark them.also what type of oil is used and how much? they are ariston shocks Thanks Lindsay
Aristom shocks are OEM for the early Pantera. Possibly the difference is in the mounted spring, but there may be valving changes, too. Try calling Pat Mical in MA (web pg www.detomasopantera.net) Pat used to customize OEM shocks & may know which is which. Note that the springs are different front to rear, too- the rear wire thickness is greater.
