All 4 of my side marker light housings are warped. This has been bothering me for a long time and I'm going to try again to resolve. They all have a sagging hourglass shape. I bought another set that were supposedly nice but they were also warped. Anybody know if someone is 3d printing these?

I think someone is making them in aluminum CNC machined….
Early rectangulars are cast & plated pot metal. Later ones are plastic. And REALLY early ones are round from Euro Mangustas. Are your plastic?
I have plastic markers housings on my 72L. I’ve noticed lots of other cars with the same issue. I tried heating up one of the housings to see if I could reshape it but it was a disaster.
I am not aware of any CNC billet versions or 3-D printed versions.
Each housing is unique and different. Yup, left-hand and right hand and front and rear are all different. Each housing is designed to keep the reflector parallel to the car centerline.
I do know there are reproductions available from Wilkinson. I also know he thought the diagonal opposite corners were the same so he only reproduced two different shapes. I guess they will work but not true reproductions.
Good luck,
Larry
I needed a good reason to by a 3d printer!!!
My experience with trying to 3D print has been a failure in terms of a smooth surface. The parts come out rough and sometimes with a finish that is almost like wood grain. It may not be a good resource for side markers since they are quite visible on the car's body.
It’s a big investment for a nice printer. There are ways to smooth the PLA prints with chemicals and of course just sanding them. I would probably skip getting them chrome finished and just prep and paint them black. Maybe could recoup some of the costs by selling the reproduced parts if they come out good. Possibly I’m just bored but I might just dive in.
