I admire the young man's enthusiasm for his hobby and his car.

Write that young man back, tell him Panteras can be modified just like Honda Civics, and we'd love for him to become a Pantera owner.

Honda was the best car I ever bought my wife. Its kind of a girls car as far as I'm concerned!

I wonder if that Honda owner realizes that anything done to his dinky, little VTEC engine could also be done to a 351 Cleveland....

On the other hand, I was at a "cruise night" and a teenage boy (who seemed really shy) came up to me to tell me how much he liked the car and wanted to know more about it. I talked with him for a while and then he sort of meandered away. Two hours later, near the end of the cruise, I get in the car to start it up and leave. The same kid comes running up to the car and said he'd been waiting for me to leave so he could hear the engine! I would've gladly started it up for him if he had just asked. He told me it sounded so much better that his civic! It turns out his Civic was truly a work of art (for those that appreciate that kind of art), but it was the Pantera he wanted to hear.

I took mine to the Dyno a couple years ago. The guy who ran it said "Ah, so nice to hear a real engine! These ricers sound like "Angry Sewing machines AND I OWN ONE!".

On a nother note kids passing through on bikes in a neighborhood when I was at a wedding. They rode up as I got out. "What is it?" I said take a guess. Kids about 12. The 3rd one guessed it! I said how did you know that? It was on his ntendo game. They left to go play the Ntendo.
