I went to remove the shims under the springs to lower my car. There is only 3 shims. There is none on the passenger side rear. The problem with this is that the car sits level that way. I don't believe the car has ever been hit hard and I think it's square. I'm afraid if I do pull the spacers, the right rear is going to sit lower. I have Konis for shocks if it matters. Is there something I don't get here or maybe one spring is off and the shims are compensating to equal the ride height. Any one been here before? Thanks as always for the help. Vince #6909

Years ago when I removed the spacers from my springs the car sat noticably lower on the left side. I assumed that the springs had sagged some due to the fuel tank being on that side and a lot of miles without a passenger. I used the two thinner spacers and installed on both the front and rear on the left side. Car looked level and that's how it was for 15 years and 60,000 miles.
It sounds like I need to replace my springs then if I'm understanding evreyone here. Any recommendations on springs? I'm looking for primarily a street car used maybe 5 times a year on a track. I drive the car about 15,000 miles a year so I don't want my fillings to fall out everytime I drive it. Vince
Most Panteras that I scrutinize closely have the rear fender almost 1/2 inch higher over the right rear tire verses left tire. While you can dial this out with adjustable springs or shims, you are compromising your vehicle's cornering ability because you are messing up your corner weighting. Check the respective hieghts of the lower swing arms where they meet the hubcarriers. Even height here is more critical. I think you will be pleased to learn they are even. I'll bet if you swap your rear shocks, left for right, your right side will still be higher. Check this first before spending money uneccessarily on new shocks.
