Hello:
I am thinking of converting my stock 74 bumpers to the smaller bumperettes. Has anyone used this vendor here on eBay?

He claims that "They are an exact copy of the early European version, and can be fitted as a direct factory replacement.They are also very popular for replacing the US spec and later rubber bumpers."

If I read this right, I could remove the old bumpers and bolt these right up without painting, fabrication, etc. Is this true?

These are certainly attractive, but very pricey. I don't believe these will cover the US L-model bumper shock holes in your body and will require some bodywork/paint to make that area look good. Kirk Evans sells some real nice bumperettes that cover the L-bumper shock holes and look really nice, and for a lot less than this sellers price!

Direct factory replacement if you had bumperettes before. I've read about installing driving lights in the holes for the rubber bumpers.
