I am planning to have my original steering rack re-built from #4134 (Pre-L). The rack will than be installed in a friend’s 74 L model. Other than the factory bump steer kit in the L model will my Pre-L fit without modification?

There are some early/late compatibility issues, but the rack isn't one of them.

If I end up with the rack in question, does it matter that Jeff and I have compatibility issues? Kidding...
Thanks for the info, and this sounds great IF it works out. My rack is kinda 'clunky', so this may be a good fit.
