Steering wheel shake

When I apply the brakes my steering wheel shakes and it's getting worse. Cruising at speed the car tracks straight and true, no shake,no pull. I have checked the rack, ball joints, tie rod ends, and they all "seem" fine to me.
I'm thinking it's got to be in the brakes?
Rotors maybe?

Any thoughts / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Pull the wheels & check the rotors for "run out". Also check the wheel bearing adjustment.

Runout inside and outside. On another car, my outside runout was "fine" but the rotor was warped...

The next time you do a brake job, take your car to Midas or Les Schwab and have them turn the rotors ON THE CAR. That way your brakes will be absolutely true.
