I was looking at the GT5-S on BraingaTrailer and noticed the dash is stitched together compared to the single pod dashes in the L cars which I assume were molded? All dual pod dashes are stitched, right? Was it only in 1980s that they started stitching the single pod dashes? In my searching/googling I noticed some cars have the stitching at the "edges" like that one and some have it where the inlay meets the dash. Is there a correct version? or like many Pantera things I'm learning, there's not an absolute correct version?

I believe some of the earlier Euro GTS'S had a mouse hair dash, not sure in the stitching of it. 80's panteras are stitched like the 5S picture you have. I believe the other picture is a US 73 that someone has had an upholstery shop do for them. It looks to also have a Hall console, modified seats and added gauges like later model GTS's. This interior looks like it may have been done by a shop like Hall. It also has earlier style wiper and wash buttons. The dual pod dash I think is a stitched vinyl and does not have the quality of materials as the 5S dash that's first pictured.

Okay, thanks. I'm having my dash recovered (it had two big cracks through it) and really like the look of that GT 5 dash, really makes a difference sprucing up the whole interior. I was considering giving it to Just Dashes which is really close to me and I've seen their work and it's amazing, but their turnaround is months so having the upholsterer who did my seats do it. And I found the matching vinyl grain as the doors, etc so I think it'll all come together.
