stroked engine in my Pantera

Hello, I just bought a '73 Pantera (05309) in US. The plate says that the engine number is 04121 but in 2009 a new stroked engine (393 cui)was installed. On the engine I found written: FORD 351 and the engine number is stamped in: 34587242.

Can somebody give me some information about the engine with the 8 digit number?

The number seems like a Ford engine number, incorporating the Ford VIN, from a Ford vehicle like a Mustang, Torino, Ranchero, Cougar, or Montego.

Modified engines are just that ... they are modified. If you didn't receive records from the previous owner detailing the modifications I doubt there's much anyone can do to help you.

first question is, Is the engine block Cleveland or Windsor?

factory engine blocks will have ID codes on the underside near the starter, quick look is the timing gear housing cast iron and integral to the engine block or is it a separate piece made of alloy and bolted on sealed with a gasket?
