I have one of the Magnuson MC-220 modified 351C and was just wondering how many of these still exist. In talking with others it appears about 60-70 of these were installed, how many guys still have them? Mine was put on by the original owner back in about 1987, 62,000 miles and still running strong. I don't have any information on the original engine mods made to handle this increase in HP either?

Steve Wilkerson put these on back in the mid to late 80's. Although rarely did they keep any build sheets. Bill Wilkerson told me they completely rebuilt the engines, all new everything except the crank (which was polished). Many of them got upgraded brakes as part of the HP increase package. Mine is running two 46mm side draft weber carbs.
One of the Nor-Cal guys had two. What was on them were 2V open chamber heads (big valves not necessary), stagger-jetted 50DCOA carbs and the rig pushed 6-7 psi (good for the day but small potatoes in 2017). But likely about all the thin-wall cylinders could reliably hold. Another Nor-Cal guy (Forest Goodheart) replaced the DCOE Webers with GM throttle body injectors running as side-drafts and avoided jetting problems.
