After several failed purchases and empty promises I just put a deposit in a nice 74 Orange Pantera. Body work was negotiated in the price and the current owner is a solid guy. The deal and contract was solidified over a nicely brewed expresso! Trim, prime, paint and interior will be my responsibility. Can't wait for delivery which is currently scheduled for October 1. Looks like I will finally be a Pantera family member. The search is over!

Thank you everyone for the inclusive comments. The current owner is a solid guy and does great work. He is trying to get her ready sooner than later but Oct is our drop dead time. Although i love grabber blue thefresh coat of orange will look good and keep her factory. Besides the timing allows me to gradually let my wife accept a new toy in the garage :-)
Stay tuned. Cruz night is closer today than ever before.
Thank you!
no wonder you have patience , owning a FGT !

Was also my dream in the first place, but yearly taxes killed the desire. So searching a replacement without those extravagant costs , only to make my governement rich, i came across the Pantera . Obvious Big Grin
In between i tryed a GT40 .. but could in it only without the seat ... Confused so that was a no-go. Tryed a FGT and that was perfect !

Second , and important , reason was i like to wrench on it... a FGT i clould only clean and polish i was afraid ...

good luck and keep us posted what you think in comparison !
Hey guys thanks again for the notes and support. The fgt is regrettably no longer interested driveway. She is a cherished memory and one of the reasons I wanted to chase the Pantera. I first saw the Pantera when my father brought me to carlini body shop. The shop was cousin to Hank Carlini who was there with a yellow unit. She was love at first Site. In 95 I joined FMC and in 05 a nice blue fgt came home. She had no stripes and gathered alot of attention Long story short for the last two years I have been looking to relive my first love. After many failed attempts a solid guy from Northern ontario sent me a pm asking if I would be interested. Come Oct my signature picture will be a bright orange 74...cant wait. Thanks all....
no sorry , i think with the Pantera you will have the racing feel at 100 mph were it only just began with the FGT...keeping your driving license safe! Same experience here with my BMW 650.Modern cars don't give a feeling of speed, just relay on the airbags not to be killed...

I stay on my statement, with the Pantera i feel racing at 100 mph and don't need to go alot faster....with my BMW 650 i make coffee and read my newspaper at 150 mph...I know,
as long all that electronic stuff does his job...
driving fun ? yeah, the Pantera !
