Tire Smoke

I have a problem of white smoke coming off my tires when the engine is under heavy load. I heard this was a common problem with these cars. Anyone else experience this.......often. I tried to adjust my mixture a little but still that darn tire smoke. I am starting to worry what the neighbors might think..NOT!

I have the same problem. Mine mixes with the blue/black exhaust smoke from the Webers, plus the exhausts vomit this slimy black phlem.
It isn't pleasant driving behind me.
It's more a problem for the Corvettes then me though. Funny but they don't complain about it.

Same problem and the car will track a little sideways through second gear.

Must be a bad set of tires

OH YEAH!
I have the same problem,I have come to the conclusion that when the butterflys open all at once on the WEBERS. it must slightly lift the rear of the car from the carbs trying to suck all that air. SMOKE... hehehe

They just can't catch you to complain!

I've only had that problem once with my Pantera. With over 100,000 miles on the original engine and transaxle, I'm more concerned about breaking something. And no breakages are allowed until I finish restoring the Mustang.

I used to have that tire smoking problem too. So I got a new low performance motor and it stopped. Now I can run my original tires and it doesn't do that anymore. I am so glad I got rid of all that excesive horsepower.
