Valve spring retainers

Is there an aluminum valve spring retainer or is it possible titaniun could be mistaken as aluminum?

I was able to send my engine to a shop today and the neighbor that did it for me stayed and removed valve covers to see how bad it might be. the comment was it looked good on top, but they were surprised to find aluminum spring retainers?

in the 60s & 70s aluminum spring retainers were used to reduce valve train weight. That practice was abandoned however, because the aluminum chafes and flakes and wears where the spring seats against it. chromoly and titanium are the materials of choice these days.
