I'm using the Wieand aluminum pump. The only thing with that pump is it that you need to drill the bypass hole into it.
It's a simple thing to do with a 1/4" drill bit using the gasket as a pattern.

A few have used the Edelbrock aluminum pump since it comes with the bypass already drilled.

If you can find one, there is a Ford D0ZX aluminum pump housing made and sold under the old Ford Muscle Parts program.

With this pump you need to install a cut down pump impeller from a Boss 302.

I've been looking for one of these for 30 years and still have never seen one for sale.
My 351 was fitted with an Edelbrock water pump & it had very poor flow.
Always had overheating issues, especially in traffic jams.
I fitted a Flow kooler pump & had improvements right through the rev range.
Much better cooling at both low & high rpm.
The Flow kooler has a sheet stainless/brass fabricated impeller.

regards,
Tony.

In my experience with the 351c, the pumps that use the sheet metal impellers work much better then the cast impellers.

I don't know why, but I think this is an area where cars with a lot more then 500hp and are in a hot climate are showing capacity issues with the original cooling system.

There is going to be a debate about whether it is better to have more flow through the system or a larger capacity system with slower flow.

I can say that where I am in NY, the Wieand pump does fine with the stock cooling components.

Again, I didn't add cooling responsibility to the water cooling with the oil cooler. I also have aluminum heads and intake manifold.

The way the Weber intake manifold is made with it's individual runners those work as heat sinks would on an electronics board.

Little things that you do sometimes aren't noticeable right off but when you do a lot of little things they become effective.

Hello Tony
Those pumps don't show the bypass hole, did you drill one ?
