I am finally switching to modern rubber due to the fact I've worn out all my 15" tires. I do have some concerns that I know have been addressed before many times. If I buy 17" rims on all four corners will the front to rear attitude of my pantera change? Is there a backspace difference when changing to 16" or 17" wheels for the front? I think the correct backspace for my 15" x 8" campy is 5.25". Will the 5.25" backspace apply to 16"/17" as used on the front of the car?
thanks for the help

245/45/ZR16s on the front and 335/35/ZR17s on the back will give you a nice ½ degree of nose down rake. This assumes stock or Koni shocks with the spring spacers removed. The difficulty using 17s on the front is finding a 17” tire that is short enough but has some side wall. The side wall on the 245/45/ZR16 is about 1/16” less than the 335/35/ZR17s and they look and perform great together. I would contact one of the Pantera venders for the wheels so that you get the correct back space and wheels that fit correctly. There is only one vender that sells Campy clones in the 17” and 16” sets.
I run 17" wheels all around, with the 335/35/17 in the rear, but as the above post mentioned, you should run a 245/40/17 up front (I do), just so it looks right. A 245/40/17 is not a very common size, and even the 335 wide tire in a 17" size is getting harder to find. However, it seems with 18" or 19" wheel, they seem more plentyful.
