Wanna hear a funny story?
So one of my Pantera Buddies buys this Pantera, pretty close to what he really wants, but it's got this windshield that has been etched with all these flowery designs and stuff all around the outside edges, and so he knows he's gonna have to do away with THAT windshield, of course.
So he's got it on ebay and a guy in another state buys it for $200 & says in the email confirming the ship to address, that he just needs the windshield and doesn't care about the flowery etching stuff.
Pantera Buddy is pleased to have offset the cost of a new windshield & delivers the glass to a well-known shipper for delivery.
To Pantera Buddy's delight, he receives a phone call from shipper, who apologetically says they broke the windshield and how can they make the situation alright for everybody?
So Pantera Buddy sends shipper a copy of Hall Pantera's price list for a De Tomaso Pantera windshield, Group 11, #5 for $775, plus $85 crating charge, plus 10% for S&H, and says this will cure the situation.
Pantera Buddy gets a new windshield and buyer gets nothing, but spends nothing.
So, now it's my turn and I'm now bragging about my misfortune in the world of Pantera parts and supplies, and he starts laughing like he's losing it....
He tells his wife to "come over here and listen to this" so he has me repeat the story and tells me that his wife called him an a****** and slaps me on the back and says, ain't it fun being an attorney???
The PI Motorsports deal is terrific, especially if you sell your windshield on ebay and the shipper breaks it and you give them Hall Pantera's price list.
Wife looked at me like you guys are BRAGGING about being a*******. Like, "I can't believe it" so I left shortly thereafter, let Pantera Buddy do the talking, being the slippery tongue attorney all....
