There were at least 5 different iterations of the Pantera wiring loom, and I don't know anyone thats done this particular swap. The late cars had extras like a heated rear window, so you'll undoubtably find 'extra' wires, plus the mysterious "starter interlock over-ride box", the yellow box up front. I suggest that NO ONE needs this thing so that alone saves you 11 or 12 wires.
Fran, the biggest danger to doing this is, its such a massive labor-intensive job, you can easily lose interest in the project. One engineer I knew, tired of the crummy, failure-prone Lucas connectors in our wiring, decided to change everything to MIL-spec connectors (we worked at Lockheed at the time). After 8 years, the car was still only partway done and I doubt if he'll ever finish it. It has ceased to be a sportscar and became a chore. Sad...
