Check www.clubcobra.com for the latest info but there are two separate efforts to get 295/50/15 performance rubber. One by Goodyear and one by a smaller outfit (tireguy is the name he uses at Club Cobra). Tireguy is targeting March 2005 for production.
If 295/50/15 is the size you're looking for, tirerack.com has 5 choices all around $100 bucks each. I had 10" rims on the back of my '74 with that size on them and they looked and fit perfectly.
I had 7" rims on the front with 215/60/15 that complimented the rear rims very nicely. If I had 8" wide fronts, I would've gone with 225/50/15. The tires I used were Dunlop GT Qualifiers
