I acquired this engine from an old scrapyard. From everything I have read I haven't seen anything about panteras having a DOAE Engine. The engine tag reads 351C 71-3 A 19 K613J. Does anyone have more information on this? Thanks

Definatelly looks like it was in a Pantera. The telltale would be the engine number stamped behind the left head on the block, then you would know if it was originally in a Pantera. Nice find.
OOO! OOO! Dats it! Dats it! Very kool find!
Came out of car in the 1500-1600 range.
My car is 1744 and has 0531 motor in it. Amazing find.
Another telltale is the pic of the upper motor mount from a Pantera.

As veryone has said, Great Fine. What are you planning to do with it?

It's for sale. I have it posted on the pantera parts for sale. I thought it would be a fun project for myself. However, it's too much of a project for me right now and I want it to go to a good home. I'm accepting offers as I don't know what it is worth as a pantera 351. I'm located in Lakewood, California USA.
Put it for sale on Dave Adler's FB Group site. Plenty of people looking for stuff like this there.
...Also the AC Compressor and Mount, and the Curved Tubing going back to the Pressure Tank, are Indicators of being from a Pantera. Purchase a Pantera that Is Minus the Engine, but comes with the ZF. All of US would Help You get it Together!

It seems that the DOAE-L blocks are 2 bolts, can you confirm this? If so, that means that the early Panteras had 2 bolt engines.
Boss 351 block is also D0AE-L, same as late 70 351C, but with 4 bolt mains. I don't know if the 71 4v also has 4 bolt or just 2.
I don't think that the 4v is called the CJ until the '72 model year with the open chamber heads but the CJ's are 4 bolt and use the D2AE-CA casting ID.
Most D2AE-CA blocks seem to be split between 2 and 4 bolts. The answer is then you can find both 2 and 4 bolt blocks of each casting # ID. The D2AE-CA 4 bolt block is more common though.
