Hahaha! I have the same problem with the Banzai Runner. Last time I was at Concorso Italiano my car (yellow, as God and Alejandro DeTomaso intended!) was covered with bugs! But the other color Panteras on the green - red, silver, green, black, etc - were bug-free.

Tip to the DIYer... Don't ever paint your car (or anything for that matter) yellow outside in the sun! The reason should be obvious by now.

Finding the right Yellow to attract the bees is the issue... mine is 7 coats of Smart car Yellow and 4 coats of Gold Pearl with clearcoat see #6656 Gallery

My red car doesn't attract too many bees, but it sure attracts a lot of police

My friend has a yellow Diablo that was attacked by a swarm of bees during a Route 66 cruise. There were so many of them they went "thump" when they hit the car.

Many years ago, a friend of mine purchased a 'paint to sample' FLY (ferrari light yellow) Porsche RS America. There was bee sh*t everwhere, everyday.

He called it "the motherbug" because of all the insects that were attracted to it.

I also have found that my yellow '72 attracts bugs of all kinds, only to have them curl up and die on my black hood and rear deck!
I guess I don't blame them......I love that yellow too!
