Chassis Kit Install Part 1

I've started installing my chassis kit. The first truss is in place
to see how well it fits etc...

I had to enlarge the slots for the upper cross bar slightly so
I could extend the lower bar to be as snug against the body as possible.

As you can see, the bracket does not perfectly form to the curved inner panel.

I know welding this piece in would be better than bolting it in, but
is bolting sufficient ?

Should there be some kind of additional plate on the other side to sandwich the body panel ?
