Clutch slave to clutch slave bracket question

         Both of mine (late '74s) are slip fit and is held in place with a C-clip.  The slave bracket may have some idiosyncracies due to its handmade nature.  It may have been painted too much  reducing the I.D. for the slave cylinder.  I can't speak to the earlier Panteras.

...When I changed over to the 'Long Throw' Slave Cylinder, sold at PIM, it was a 'little' loose in the Stock Mount ('74L). I chucked it up in the Lathe and Knurled bands into the Aluminum Body, to increase the Diameter. Fit is good now, and the knurling does Not show.

I've done 71, 72, 74. None of them required a press. Paint or rust is the culprit.

I would get some emery cloth and smooth out the bore.  This is considering all is stock.

Thanks for all the replies.  My thought was it always should have been a slip fit by the way it was designed.  Cleaned it up yesterday and all is good.

Mine is a slip fit with c clip and changed to long-throw which was also a slip fit.
