HI again. I'm having boiling over probs, the temp seems fine. After reading advise have moved the temp sender to the block as suggested. I feel problem lies in the supply and expansion tank caps.
1. what type of caps are used and on what tank. has one flat and one 15 lb pressure type cap at the present.
2. How dose the water get back into the supply tank from the expansion tank if the normal cap is on the supply tank.
sorry for the long winded questions.
3. Put a new cap on the expasion tank and the water pored out the flat lid on the supply tank
cheers from down under.
cj.

In many cases, the bottom of the small tank filler neck is rough and the pressure cap won't seal. It may take a shop to unsolder and put on a new neck to fix this. In addition, Euro caps are a little longer than US caps, which then don't have enough spring tension to seal. Dunno about Aussie caps. The small tank should have the pressure cap while the bigger rear tank get the flat cap. Be sure the small dia hose between the two doesn't have a small air leak or the small tank won't suck water back in during cool- down.
