Correct Rocker Covers

Just curious on the rocker covers and what is correct and what is not, I see standard rockers covers, aluminium , aluminium with pantera signia etc...
mine is a 11/73 build and it has aluminium covers with Detomaso signia cast into them.

Correct, as in from the factory?

Stamped steel valve covers, painted Ford Blue and the same as you would find on a Mustang.

EXCEPT, glued to the top of each valve cover was the cast aluminum deTomaso plaque that in time fell off, with many of them subsequently attached to the rear of the rear chassis crossmember.

Panteras all came with plain Ford Stamped Steel Valve Covers painted Ford Blue & some, I believe on earlier ones, had a rectangular finned aluminum "DeTomaso" Plaque glued onto them.

The cast Aluminum "DeTomaso" Valve Covers are aftermarket.

Mangustas came with plain Ford Stamped Steel Valvecovers with a DeTomaso aluminum "plaques" glued onto them that were kind of "L" shaped.

Just the blue steel Ford no Detomaso plates on mine when I got it, unless they fell off before I got the car but no glue was found on the covers. Mine is a 12/1973 build date
