I just bought the air filter... looks a nice design to me and want to see it. I have now a "dogbone" which looks to modern to me and this one looks even more breathing capable... can be wrong , ok, we will see...

Yes. It's a nice air cleaner. Looks like it was made for the Pantera.
I sold it because I am not getting another Pantera, and I am keeping the Webers.
Like I said about Webers, they can drive you crazy, you can get a much simpler and maybe a better deal, but there is just something about them that will not let you go.

you're right ..Webers are the ultimate dream but can be a nightmare.I tryed them on one of my race Porsches 928 and wouldn't do it again but it was nice playing and glad i tryed it ! Married ? hohoho, i was 2 times that way and now happely living together, as is, for again 5 years... no more papers wanted ! both ways ! and we we like it....

Make sure the foam is clean before you run it. Wash it in warm water with detergent that you would wash your dishes with, then re-oil it with K&N filter oil. Should last a long time that way.
AN fitting on the aluminum neck is there to plumb a hose to the PCV valve.
Front alumuminum plate is there to close the hole in the screen (if you cut your screen that is) and covers the distributor and wires. You will have to adjust that to the right height and mount it with the sheet metal screws on the front.
I don't know why these never caught on with the other Pantera owners. The thing will fit under the stock screen with the right height intake manifold.
I doubt that there is any kind of restriction through that filter. Comes very close to running the carburetor wide open.
Enjoy. Don't get any speeding tickets with it. The cops won't be impressed with the air cleaner at all, I am sure.

i don't have the screen, so no problem.
Just have to check what hight i will use, now i have 2 different heights plastic necks stacked , in pic i added the aluminium to clear the breather... once decided i probably machine a new alu in one piece.
