Has anyone installed a front hood leading edge patch panel. I need a dimension of the thickness of the leading edge to form the metal. It looks to be about an inch? Any info would be helpful.

Thank you!
You need to shrink the lip a little before you weld it in because the hood have a small curve or other wise you don't get the gap to line up.
Sounds like a scary learning curve. 🤔
No if you have a shrinker/stretcher just shrink the lip that facing down so when you hold it on the car in the position that hood is going to be the lip is flush to the front beam! then when you roll back edge you got a perfect gap! (its hard to explain this in english for me )
One more tip ! The hood is very flat so when you weld it deforms easy so if you pre stretch the steel very little were the weld seam is going to be, It deforms much less and are going to be more rigid!
I have a tool that adds a lip to it, but easy to distort with heat.
Yes don't use heat to hard to control! you need a shrinker to get it right!
