My car has a front spoiler with the holes in it. Does anyone know how lights are fitted and which ones to use. I've looked for old posts and found one but the issue of fitting them was not fully discussed. Due to the front valance behind the holes lights would not fit in straight without cutting the valance. Anyone done this?

Which spoiler are you talking about?

The original GTS spoiler has two round holes which were intended to connect ducts to the front brakes with on the original Gp3 cars. I don't recall exactly at this minute but I think they are 2-1/2" round holes.

You can mount Piaa 2" round driving lights in them. The lights have simple thin metal mounting brackets that mount the lights to the bottom of the Pantera sheet metal valance.

The tight 1/4" space left around them and the way they project through the spoiler makes them look like they were designed for that.

They are 55w halogen bulbs.

The lights are simple to mount and have a relay kit that comes with them.

The big GT front air dam takes a different rectangular light in the brake duct. Don't know which on but it isn't difficult to figure out.

If you don't know which spoiler you have take some pictures and post them here.
My spoiler is a version of the GTS spoiler but rather than fiberglass mine is steel. It was on the car when I bought it. I can see that it is bonded bolted and smoothed. They did a nice job on it and I have not seen another steel one like it. Other than being steel it looks very much like the fiberglass GTS spoiler.

My issue is that the round holes sit just in front of the corners of the lower valance. The corners of the valance obstructs the holes just a bit and would keep me from mounting and aimimg the lights correctly.

I'll try to get some pictures

The lights aren't usually attached to the spoiler. They are attached to the bottom pan on the nose and aligned through the vents in the spoiler.

I think though that the pictures that you see on the cars don't accurately portray how exposed those lights are to damage and how close to the pavement they are. They're right down there.

The little GTS spoiler will catch the curb if you aren't careful.

Hall has this electronically controlled front end raising kit so that you can get in and out of your driveway with the big GT air dam with minimal damages.

You can't make a fist and slide it under the nose.

The lights are hanging right down there too.
I was under there last night. didn't have camera with me.

I'll post but I don't know if it helps at all.

It depends on the lights you use and the mounting brakets they give you.

The duct hole you have is much larger then the stock GTS duct.

Step 1 is to find the lights that fit the opening. Look at the Piaa's. They make a large variety.
I took pictures. This is the best I can do even on Macro with a Sony digital 35mm.

The nose of the car is black. The spoiler is black. The body of the light is black.

This is the Piaa 002 lamp. It is has a 35watt halogen bulb. It is 2-1/16" in diameter. The brake duct hole is 2-1/2" in diameter.

You can see how the bracket fastens to the sheet metal on the Panteras lower nose with sheet metal screws, under and behind the spoiler. It is not mounted to the spoiler. It projects through it.

You can see how the light fits into the hole.

The concept is similar on other lights, in other spoilers.

I like the minimal effect of these lights. To me it looks like the GTS spoiler was made for them? Others tastes vary.

The big GT air dam will take 3" x 5" rectangular driving lights. Mounting varies according to the factory bracket.

No matter what you put in there, they are all susceptible to easy damage because of the ride height and the nature of the nose of the car.

I will also point out to you that the duct hole in my spoiler is located at the same junctures as your's is.

This is the light itself. Very simple light bracket. Two button head Allen socket screws on the sides to adjust veritcle.

They are 35w H3 Halogen bulbs so you can change them to whatever wattage you want.

I'm already running halogen headlamps 85/100, so I don't need more light.

These really act as accent lights to the car.
