And another question:
Like an idiot, I disconnected the fuel gauge without labeling everything in case I wanted to put it back. Well, now I'd like to put it back in until I change the sender. I've studied my wiring diagram but am not sure where some of the wires go on the gauge. The only markings are for "+" (the pink wire) and "com"? Which terminals are for the ground, sender, and low fuel indicator? What an idiot..... learned my lesson on this one!

thanks,

rich,
I have a 73l and my gauge has a + (pink wire)and the com is the common ground wire that attach to all the gauges. On the back of the fuel gauge it also has 2 sockets for indicator lights. One is for illumination of the gauge and the other is the low fuel light.I'm sorry i don't remember the colors that they are.Maybe somebody else knows the colors.
