I’ve rebuilt literally the entire coolant system of my fathers mostly original 74’ GTS and the good news is that I now have the overheating issues fixed, and the car is running extremely strong!
My last remaining issue is that my water temperature gauge will occasionally spike to 260 but I know the car is not overheating. Based on discussions with john Hass and in reading other forum posts, I am mostly certain it is an electrical issue.
I know the stock dash grounding location is extremely suspect and other recommend a fix being a direct ground from the back of the 260 (or 230) guage to the body. My question is where is a good location to successfully ground it direct instead if the oem daisey chain? Thanks!
