The orange wire pulled out of my blower motor and I need to remove the motor to repair it.
I can't find the removal information that I need on this procedure.
I am not taking the dash out to do this.
There has got to be a "simple" way to drop the motor down and out?
Is there anyone here that has done this that can help?
Thanks in advance.

Only the blower needs to come out. Pulling the dash is not simple. Frowner

The blower motor and squirrel cage blowers apear to be an assembly that is held in place to the metal case in a plastic saddle clamped in place by four sheet metal screws.

I have that unbolted but I need to confirm that there now is just double faced foamed adhesive tape holding the two housings together now.

Is there someone who has one out now or did that can confirm that it is those four screws and the double faced adhesive that hold that to the metal box enclosure?

That's an $1100 assembly from Wilkinson and I don't want to pry on it and break it needlessly.

From upside down under the dash that is all I can find though?

I do see the article about this at the Pantera Place and do see the sheet metal screws on top of the blower attaching to the metal case BUT my blower box is different in the way that the motor attaches.

It is plastic there and not metal clamps.

That is a '71 that is being worked on and it shows at Wilkinson as a series 1 assembly. Mine is a September 72 build and a '73 model.

It is at least a series 2 if not a 3.
