DK Engineering have a very good reputation. They are near by and they list prices for inspections on their website.

Thanks for the tips. The car is in fact at DK. I don’t know them other than seeing them at events such at LMC etc., no direct experience with them other than hear-say (very positive).
Even though they have a good reputation, a 3rd party inspection would not hurt I think.

I know you probably don't won't to give too much away in terms of which car you are interested in. If it is a more modern one you could try SB Race Engineering, also in Watford. I haven't used then but have heard a good report of them.
From what i have read I suspect anything DK sell will be spot on.
