What’s wrong with what you have?

i could probably modify this one to accept that switch if you guys post pics of originals ?

The switch looks correct… Same what I have! If you go with the ohm meter Between the bare metal part off the switch to one of the terminals and you have zero ohms, Compress the switch and you have no signal that is the terminal to use for the ground for the parking brake light.
you should have a hole next to the parking brake on the passenger side where that switch mounts from below, coming up through the hole. A small 90° angle sheet metal piece is welded to the parking brake, pushing onto the switch top when the parking brake is down.

I can make pictures for you tomorrow..

i would appreciate the pictures! this spot was modified for a fuel shut off valve so i'll have to make something up for it
