How does one even get to the rear wheel bearings?
This is as far as I got. I can't get the perimeter bolts (near the rotors) to budge. Even tried an impact wrench... Does anyone have any advice on getting this assemblage apart? Once I DO get them apart, has it been as difficult of a job as described in the above link?

Just curious…. Have the lower parts of those uprights been damaged, and welded back up? It looks like there’s only 1/2 a “DeTomaso” on the front there….
Cant help on the disassemble, though, sorry….

Good question... I noticed that as well, but didn't check the other side and assumed it was "normal"... I'll check the other side tomorrow... This is what happens when we assume...

I had to replace a rear wheel bearing, I took it to the local Porsche dealer because they were the only ones with 100 ton press.
Make sure you map and re-install the correct spacer.

sorry i meant to say " note the specific order the parts come out and ensure they go back the same"
. Mine had a spacer missing and it cost an axle. I took out the other side and realised one space was missing. I now have an extra spacer on the shelf should anyone require one.

Is that first picture supposed to be in two pieces? or is that what you prefer to as costing an axle? (Meaning it broke apart)

nope, not meant to be in 2 pieces.
I got the 4 permitter bolts out but the four allen head bolts near the lug studs just turn, area there nuts behind them? or does the entire assembly get pressed out?

yes there are nuts behind. They are only accesible once apart.

Thanks Denis, I was hoping that was the case.
So the axle, hub kinda thing & rotor all come out together right?
Now to find a place with a press to make the swap for me.
